Donor Spotlight:
Jann & Tom Knotts
Jann and Tom Knotts turned their grief into generosity after the passing of their daughter, Lauren, in 2021. Wishing to honor her memory, they became strong supporters of The Virtue Center’s Capital Campaign, helping to reduce stigma and support access to mental health and recovery services.
Tom retired from the University of Oklahoma in 2007, where he worked as the Campus Planner in Engineering and Architectural Services. A proud Oklahoman, he has a long history of volunteer service with organizations including The Literacy Council of Muskogee, March of Dimes, and Special Olympics.
Jann enjoyed a 42-year career as a CPA and financial planner before devoting her time to serving others through First Presbyterian Church of Norman and the Assistance League of Norman. She has volunteered since high school and has served on many nonprofit boards.
Together, Jann and Tom embody the spirit of community service. Their generosity ensures that Lauren’s legacy lives on, creating hope and healing for others who walk through The Virtue Center’s doors.
We are deeply grateful for their lasting impact and generosity.
United Way
We are proud to share that The Virtue Center reached 100% staff participation in this year’s United Way Pacesetter Campaign. Thank you to our team for leading the way in supporting community change.

Free Flu Shot Clinic
The Virtue Center, in partnership with Norman Regional, is hosting FREE Flu shot clinics in September and October.
Walk-in only!
Thursday, September 25th: 4:00-5:30pm
Wednesday, October 1st: 1:30-3:00pm
September is National Recovery Month
Recovery month reminds us that healing is possible. The 2025 theme, Recovery is REAL: Restoring Every Aspect of Life, highlights the four dimensions that support recovery.
Health. Home. Community. Purpose.
At The Virtue Center, our services reflect these each and every day. From providing access to counseling and recovery support, to creating safe and welcoming spaces, connecting our clients with life-changing resources, and fostering connection and purpose, we are here to support individuals and families on their journey.
This September, we honor the courage of individuals in recovery and celebrate those in the community who support us in providing hope and healing. Follow along with us on social media throughout the month as we highlight each of these building blocks to recovery and share how each of them are reflected in the work we do every day.
